I always am in need of a plug in for my lighting at very random locations like at a run-down building at night. I love shooting portraits at night, problem is I can't do it as much as I would like because places like these don't have plug-ins.

Do you know of any portable like plug-ins or something similiar?

P.S. my only idea so far is to have one of the people I am with bring a car and I can put a car adapter plug in thing and run it from the car.

What do you need a plug for? Lighting strobes, camera, what?

I think the car battery is the only viable option...

You could get turbo battery packs that would cost the same as a whole system of wireless, mobile, battery-run, hand-held, compact, speedlights (hint, hint )

Other than that your basically stuck with the car battery.

:!: Be careful. You can get seriously injured if you handle a car battery in a wrong way. Your local mechanic should be able to give you a few safety tips.
