Ok, in the area of cameras I'd be very happy with the 85mm f/1.2L.

I would like an 18-200VR. Mainly because it's a lens I want but don't exactly need at the moment so am unlikely to get if for myself anytime soon.

It would save me many months of saving if someone were to get it for me. 8)

What I really want is an Nikkor AF-S 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5 with VRII, but Nikon doesn't make that yet. Actually, I already got my Christmas present: Last night I bought a used Nikkor 55mm F3.5 Micro Auto P.C. Ai'd (with Thomas' excellent technical assistance, thanks :wink: ) -- pictures next week -- so I'm pretty happy right now. No one seems to be selling the new 18-55mm kit lens yet but Nikon's MTF chart make it look pretty good -- I may be able to afford it, if I'm good :twisted: :roll:
