Hello guys,

I came across the site after seeing the Nikon DX lens test and so thought I'd check out the forums. All looks very friendly and informative!

I've been seriously (by seriously, I mean shooting out of auto mode) been taking photos a month or so now and am loving it!

I've got a Nikon D70s with a handful of lenses (50mm f1.8, 28mm f2.8, 18-70mm, 70-300mm) which I think will cover me until funds allow for a 70-200mm f2.8. I've got the usual selection of UV and polarising filters but can anyone recommend anything else I should have in my kitbag? I'm looking for a deal on an SB-600 flash and then I think that will probably do for me until I become a reasonable photographer!

By all means take a look at my flickr gallery (in my signature), the photos are of mixed quality but I'm going to keep plugging away!

Cheers!

Welly

Hi Welly,

A warm welcome to the CameraLabs forums.

While waiting for members to chip in and help spend your hard-earned you might want to review your Signature which currently doesn't have the link to your gallery that you mentioned. The Linking to another site "how to" might be useful.

Bob.

Welcome Welly,
Just had a look at your flickr pics. I think your composition is really good.

Thanks roland! Appreciated! I still have a LOT to learn about composition and I think one or two of my shots have turned out pretty well but there's a lot of duffs too but I'll get there :) It's good fun, I really enjoy it and hopefully I'll get a bit more consistency with my photography given a bit of time!
