I'd like to convert to gas but unfortunately I live in the sticks.

(off topic - when I moved to NZ, I was surprised not to find mains gas (at least not in Queenstown), but large canisters outside every house. Now it seems normal to me! So Zorro, you could have gas despite your rural location!)

We still use this in Malaysia. We store the tanks in the house although outside seems much safer.

Was that the reason? I never realised. Most restaurants keep their huge tanks outside although they have locked cages to keep their tanks in.

We are going waay off topic here lol.
