I came across this (obviously fake) news about the Nikon "D90"... It talks about a new anti-vibration system called uVR, for Universal Vibration Reduction, allowing 10 stops (!) advantage! Here's the funny part...love it! :

"With uVR enabled, the combined power of the batteries sends a current through the step-up transformer. This then delivers a 110 volt shock through metal pads around the grip. The resulting electrical shock matches the shutter speed (maximum of 10 seconds).

The shock causes a very stable clenching of the photographer's muscles while the shutter is open, simulating the stability of a tripod [my italics]. "

Yes, it's only a joke.

A.

CD/DVD? What no Blu-Ray or HD-DVD?

I remember reading about this a few months ago when I was trawling through Google for info on the D80. It actually had me excited for a few seconds!

I'm glad to see that it's going to take 3.5in floppy discs. I still have a whole bunch left over from my circa 1990's Sony Mavica.
