If you have ever had a chance to play with some really expensive gear, lets hear your story. I am interested because today I had the chance to play with a Nikon D2Xs w/18-70mm and it was equiped to a couple strobes with a Pocket Wizard Plus! It is a big difference from shooting with a small D40 then picking up a allmpst $6000 kit, I want my upgrade all the more now.

I was so excited that they actually let me shoot with it, so I want to hear if any of you guys have had a chance.

P.S. I also know one of the workers at Ritz Camera around me has had the chance to shoot around with a Hassleblad!

Through my work I've been lucky enough to try some pretty serious kit, but probably the best was having access to almost any lens in the Canon catalogue at one of their events. It sure is nice to handle a 600mm f4 in person! (arguably nicer than playing with the 1200mm!)

I agree with you though Nathan, one of the best experiences is being in a well-equipped studio and trying out their entire system including flashes...

A long time ago the local newspaper photographed an event at my school and he was carrying two Canon EOS 1D Mark llls (yes, the Mark three) one with a 70-200mm f/2.8 IS or either it was a 100-400mm I forget which, the other was a 17-40mm f/4. When I got a chance to take a few shots with it, the 10 fps shooting was horrendously fast, and at about $12,000 USD this is not any ordinary kit.

But that's pretty cool Nathan, I always wanted to see a D2Xs in person, is pretty amazing how far we have advanced in the photographic world.
