this might be a stupid question but is there any way to reduce image size without hurting the quality?

Yep, Lossless Compression.

.GIF .TIFF and 2 examples, although GIF is classed as lossless it does however only have 256 colours, TIFF is about as compressed as you will get without loosing ANY image quality at all.

Hello Rob,

You can resize the image in any Photoshop out there, you choose the pixel dimensions, and save it. Easy as that!

1. Open image in Photoshop
2. Go to Image > Image size
3. Put in the dimensions and resolution
4. Click OK, and your done!

if your talking about physical size, like megabyte-wise use Daniel's advice.
