Nice article here on early-adopteritis at the inquirer.
A shame that the author didn't include digital camera gear in his tirade :wink:
Makes you wonder with all the electronics and software embedded in a DSLR plus the challenges of manufacturing such delicate equipment whether it's really such a good idea to be one of the first to get a new model :?:

Nice find. I think that its best to wait a while before buying a new product just in case there are any defects or other problems. I like to read lots of reviews before I decide on what to get and that wouldn't be possible if I was one of the first to get it. Having said that, it is a nice feeling to know that you're one of the first to have a particular item.
