I was wondering if you know of any portuguese wines and if you do, which ones are your favourites?

I'm afraid I only know Port from Portugal, although it is delicious!

My wife and I went on holiday to Portugal in June. The wine we liked the best was a red Alentejo.

Unfortunately I have no idea - but would like to know.
So give us some insight on your favourites, Luis!

Ah! Now this is an interesting topic, we have some excellent wine here in Spain also.

As for Portuguese wines, I love the few I know about: Port wine is absolutely superb, I only know the "Tawny" (I thinks is written that way but I don't remember for sure) variety though I've heard the all the others are at least as good as this one (perhaps the best know internationally)

I know also the "Green Wine" (Vinho Verde), a delicius fruity white that matched perfectly with fish and seafood.

A reasonably priced rose is the one from Matheus, a very good company for just about anything: meats, pastas, fish, whatever...

I'd be delighted if you could recomend me a good portuguese red, along with any other you see fit, perhaps I can pay you back with some recomendations from Spain??

Are you in Portugal?

If so, any wine mate. Have one on me.
