Ah! Now this is an interesting topic, we have some excellent wine here in Spain also.
As for Portuguese wines, I love the few I know about: Port wine is absolutely superb, I only know the "Tawny" (I thinks is written that way but I don't remember for sure) variety though I've heard the all the others are at least as good as this one (perhaps the best know internationally)
I know also the "Green Wine" (Vinho Verde), a delicius fruity white that matched perfectly with fish and seafood.
A reasonably priced rose is the one from Matheus, a very good company for just about anything: meats, pastas, fish, whatever...
I'd be delighted if you could recomend me a good portuguese red, along with any other you see fit, perhaps I can pay you back with some recomendations from Spain??
