..... Er, can you say web 1.0!!! eww! Infact, I don't think that is even classed as Web 1.0 - Hits counters are so 90's why would anyone use them now? Google can track your site stats or if you have a pre-installed app on the server, like Mint to track server stats.

Why does it matter about the hits? As long as the site is growing, and more members are registering, then the site is doing well.
Also, adding hits counters to every page would be rather silly, since every page would have a different number of hits, and plus there are hundreds of forum topics, so it doesn't seem practical.
In conclusion, I would disagree with DavidL on this matter as I do not think it is a logical decision to have hit counters on any or all of the pages.
(I thought that was a rather dashing argument ^^)
