..... Er, can you say web 1.0!!! eww! Infact, I don't think that is even classed as Web 1.0 - Hits counters are so 90's why would anyone use them now? Google can track your site stats or if you have a pre-installed app on the server, like Mint to track server stats.
Why does it matter about the hits? As long as the site is growing, and more members are registering, then the site is doing well.
Also, adding hits counters to every page would be rather silly, since every page would have a different number of hits, and plus there are hundreds of forum topics, so it doesn't seem practical.

In conclusion, I would disagree with DavidL on this matter as I do not think it is a logical decision to have hit counters on any or all of the pages.

(I thought that was a rather dashing argument ^^)

I tend to agree with Dan, it is kind of irrelevant for us as users to see how many times someone has refreshed a page.

I do guarantee you however that the hits to his site are being tracked behind the scenes because it is good information for the webmaster to have when determining monthly bandwidth allocations and the such.

I usually update our monthly traffic figures in the About Us section:

Ahem, I've just noticed they're for June though, so I'll update them for September in a couple of days...
