That Thinkpad doesn't belong to me and I actually don't like it much (It's a T60, I want a T61 because 1024 max resolution is not good for a web designer!!!!)

No pictures as of yet, and probably not for a while due to my dorm room being messy...

Anyways, I have:
Macbook-Black, 2.4ghz, 2gb RAM, 250gb HD
Nikon D50-18-55, 70-300...
Some random printer...

I am hopefully soon going to be getting a full sized keyboard so that I can mix some tracks in garageband.

My "workstation" is the family PC, mostly used by me :D . I'll start saving for a new laptop once I have the 70-200mm, so my workstation can move to my room. My current laptop is too slow to deal with heavy software like Photoshop CS3 etc.

So here's my workstation:

Normally, my camera's is upstairs in my room, but I placed it in front of the screen so I have at least something to show. :|
Computer: old, slow Futitsu Siemens Scaleo 600
Screen: no idea, it's small, that I know...
Speakers: again, no idea, they aren't very good...
Camera: Alpha 700 with Carl Zeiss 16-80mm lens
Phone: Sony Ericsson M600i

Nothing exciting right?

Thanks :?
:D

Yes, that 70-200mm will require some extra space. The desk on which the computer screen sits is about 4 metres wide though, so there'd even be enough space for a 600mm lens... :)
BTW: all that mess around the computer is not mine, all my parents'. I'll upload a new image once I have my laptop (that'll be some months later).

Xerox =)

Got them about 2 years ago, £250 each...22" can be had for under £120 now - im well no chuffed >_<

NEC make a 14bit 30inch screen....(most are 8bit)

14bit would allow me to see all the colours and graduations from my 40D's sensor...crazy haha.

I seen a 48Bit screen a while back im sure, LCD, but MASSIVE, like thicker than a lot of CRT's...im sure it was 48bit...remember sayings its main use was in HDR imaging for CGI or something like that

Yeah the 30" NEC is a beast. Unfortunatly it's around £1600.

I'm saving for a D700/Nikon 24-70/70-200VR, so my rig will have 'to do'. I paid £382 for my 20" NEC at the time :lol: (After I tried a 22" Viewsonic that was a piece of crap for around £230) The 20WGX2 is sh*t hot, but is discontinued now lol. Now that it's been discontined they can be had for around £300.

£1600? er, try nearly £2000 for the 20inch.

the 14bit versions cost a BOMB.

Link?

I suppose you could call the MultiSync® LCD3090WQXi a consumer monitor with near pro grade performance. At least I would. Despite it being an 8 bit screen, it has a colour gamut of 97.8 per cent of the AdobeRGB colour space.

Here's a review of it;

BTW, could you resize your pic further up, i think its like 1024 wide, and I am on holiday at the minute using a laptop :/ tnx.
