Hi folks,

Both the Macbook and the Macbook Pro have been upgraded with the latest Intel Core 2 Duo processors, bigger hard drives, more memory and multi-touch trackpads.

Bob.

If I'm not mistaken, only the macbook pros have the new multi-touch trackpad.

Also, according to early tests, the new processors don't really make any difference. Oh well, more hard drive and more ram is always good.

The remote is not included anymore though.

Also, prices in europe have been slightly lowered, to match the euro/dollar conversion.

Whoops, I think you are right. My mistake for relying on a news report instead of checking the Apple web-site.

I see the Macbook Air has some Wintel competition in the shape of the Lenovo ThinkPad X300. 8)

Yup, remote is now an additional 19$.

And for once, I do want to slap Apple :D (even though I already have a macbook and thus a remote, so I'm not too concerned :P )

Good idea. How did you do that?

I use the remote every now and then, if you download remote buddy it makes it like 10 times better. Downside you have to pay for remote buddy.

if you go into your system preferences then security, you will find the option to disable remote control infrared receiver..

the only fun ive had with my remote is going into the apple shop and controlling a whole lot of imacs at the same time..

Thanks Orsan. Every extra minute of juice I can squeeze out of that battery is good.
