Just and add on question, I can get an I7 laptop for free (legally), has anyone had problems loading current software on new machines in relation to licence issues, i.e. Office home, elements 8, VSO product convert x to dvd ect.

No problems here, as far as I know.
The only minor issue with mine was it was running a little hot, so the PC guy came & adjusted/tweaked something? (i'm not in the least bit techie, so don't ask what. lol)
Elements 10, NIK HDR, Topaz denoise, were loaded at build & all running fine.
