My MacBook Air arrived last Friday.

It's an 11-inch built-to-order mid-2011 model, with processor upgraded to 1.8GHz dual-core Intel Core i7, 256GB of flash storage and 4GB 1333GHz SDRAM.

I love the saving in weight of it. And it feels pretty fast to be honest (although I haven't performed any speed test).

One drawback: no Kensington security lock.

Thank Bob,

Quick question: How do you secure your MacBook Air (physically) since it does not have a Kensington lock?

This answer won't help much I'm afraid: Gravity. I put it down somewhere and it tends to stay put.

But I can imagine that in the wrong environment gravity wouldn't be enough.

Bob.

Thanks Bob,

Unfortunately, Sydney is not that safe. The good thing is that it fits into my manbag easily.
