Hi folks,

More from Computex, this time as an antidote for those who can't see the point of a tablet. So, instead of having a screen with no keyboard, how about two screens with one keyboard. Introducing, pause for drum roll, the Onkyo DX1007A5B notebook:

Be sure to check out the video. And are my old ears deceiving me or did the nice lady really suggest using one screen for video or games and the other screen for doing homework at the same time? :? :P

Bob.

Not a big fan of multi-monitors myself, but it looks fun.

Anyone remember the butterfly keyboard IBM did ages ago? The keyboard was bigger than the laptop, so you get a small carry size without compromising on the typing space. Maybe it could be reinvented for smaller form factors today.

It will be interesting to see how device design changes as more fleixble display technology becomes available. Things using organic TFT like this Sony screen http://www.digitalversus.com/sony-unvei ... 14129.html

Or concept laptop designs like the "Rolltop"

Computex was a bit of non event this year sadly, not a lot of product announcements, more in the line of, yeah, we got new stuff, in 6 months or so... :(

The Onkyo has been on sale in Japan for quite a while btw, although I think this one is the updated model with more powerful bits inside.
