I take pictures so quickly, my highschool was "Continuous High".

Don't think the monitor is worth it as it'll have a TN panel, so if you're really concerned about colour correctness, it won't be all that. Try to find an IPS based display instead, or one with an MVA/PVA panel, as they're all far superior to TN panels when it comes to colour correctness as TN panels are only 6-bit, while the other types are 8-bit or in some rare cases, even 10-bit (if you use DisplayPort).
The only models I can find for about the same money as that Asus display is the ViewSonic VP2365wb and the Samsung SyncMaster F2380, both of which are 23-inch models with 1920x1080 resolution.
Although, if you can stretch your budget a little bit, the NEC MultiSync EA231WMi seems to be a far superior model http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/monito ... ea231wmi/1

I wouldn't have bothered with Tri-channel configuration, very little gain.
You might also want to look into the new AMD Hex-core CPU.

Well a few weeks back I had to upgrade myself. I wanted to edit full HD video so I took the fastest CPU I could get with a reasonable price tag. Clearly the best value high performance CPU today is the Intel Core i5 750, just take a look here:

The price is VERY low and it's performance is often better than the Intel Core i7 920 and if you OC it, you should be able to get some 3,4 GHz on air (4+ on water).

I would also stick to a Core I5 (price/performance) and do you really need a 750W PSU ?

Swap the power supply for either a Corsair or Seasonic, and you're good to go. If it's for video encoding etc, go i7 (you get four extra virtual cores - hyperthreading), if it's for photo editing, go for an i5.

That 1 hard drive should get looked at.

Faster drives for the OS, and ones with large storage and fast sequential read/writes (i.e. 500GB per platter drives, Samsung F3 1TB's are good, as are WD 2TB Black (64MB Cache)

Remember you can use RAID for performance/redundancy but always keep a backup seperate

- Also, dunno what its worth to ya, but I find I use a good 3-4GB of ram with just Chrome, iTunes, MSN, Tweetdeck, Steam, Word and Explorer open. Blast open Photoshop AND Lightroom, you're crawling. I dunno if its a good time to buy RAM atm, but I'm wishing i went for 12GB when I built mine just over 15 month ago.
