How do I switch my video output from DVI to VGA? I've been having trouble with my VGA output and it turned out to be broken. But since im lazy and cheap I didn't get it fixed or fix it. I simply went out and got myself a DVI cable to go in my DVI output. So, i got everything hooked up right. Then started my computer and got a blank screen. Help would be highly appreciated.

DVI plugs and cables can carry an analoge VGA signal, BUT not all of them have these parts wired-up. You'll need a DVI-I plug on your graphics card AND monitor, AND a DVI-I cable to connect them. You can recognise this by four pins at one end of the plug. If plugs and the cable have these pins, then you'll be ok. See the bottom of this page for pictures:
