You should read the article he's posted, particularly page 2 where there's a comparison between the gamut of colours displayable by the monitors for the 13", 15" and 17" MBP vs sRGB. You'll see that there is very little difference. This was actually measured using a colorimeter.

This makes me doubt the original article as it makes no mention of how the author knows that the MBP 13" displays only thousands of colours.

I was under the impression someone checked the actual display e.g. ripping the laptop apart and looking up the part number.

its 2am i cba checking atm haha will do so tomorrow.

Either way, it may be a damn good screen, and the dithering techniques may be near perfect, good for apple.
