Hi folks,

According to this ZDNet article:
Microsoft said Monday that it plans in a week to end an offer that allowed those buying Windows 7 in Europe to get the full version of the operating system for the price normally charged for the upgrade version.

Those who want to pre-order the full version for the upgrade price have until Aug. 31 to do so, Microsoft said in a blog posting. After Sept. 1, users will be able to order an upgrade version or pay a higher price for the full version, which does not require an earlier version of Windows be installed
Being UK based I got my pre-order in with Amazon by following the Amazon UK link on Gordon's partner stores page. I'm not on commission but I have as big a vested interest as any in keeping the lights on here at CameraLabs and the prices seemed pretty good, for Home Premium anyway. 8)

As I write "Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium" is on offer for £64.99 and "Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate" for £159.85, both full versions so I ordered the former for my Media PC and the latter for my workstation. Delivery expected on October 22nd.

I wonder if an OEM 3 pack will be cheaper...

Also there is only £10 difference between 7Pro and Ultimate, plus if you buy Vista x64 OEM Ultimate, you get free upgrade to 7 Ultimate...but it costs the same as 7 Pro!

Explains why Vista is sold out for once
