This December I'll be going to South Africa for a month, to photograph wildlife. It's for a project, but they'll also be able to help me get anything hat's good enough published. Now I've been talking to someone else who's done the same project, She told me that on hindsight she could have sold some images to Getty's if she only had a better camera, since they only accept pictures from certain camera's. My question is as follows: What kind of camera do you really need to be taken seriously by anyone who might be interested in your work? I've been considering upgrading from E510 to E3, mainly for the weather-sealedness it offers, especially in combination with the 12-60mm. But would this matter anything for these kind of guys?
What's good enough?

For any help i could get, thanks ahead!

I'm not familiar with the Olympuses, but from a quick check I'd say the E3 would surely cut it.

I can't speak for Getty, but I don't see why images from any DSLR shouldn't be accepted. While image quality can vary from model to model, these days even the lower models can produce world class images.

Perhaps Getty's camera discrimination only applied in the past, at a time when it was easily justifiable?

See if you can find out what their preferences are on format, etc.
