It's difficult to comment with only 2 images as the gallery navigation is an important component to check.

I like the darkness, although I'm not sure if thumbnails should be in B&W when the image after clicking is in colour. Still, I think it works well.

My eyes hurt though. Try using larger fonts.

hooray for constructive criticism.

well, i know you're not sure that the black and white works for the gallery, but i most definitely am. ^.^ the reason why this is done is reflected in the about section of the website. this website has a bit of a mystery theme to it.

i'm very sorry your eyes hurt, perhaps it's from sitting at the computer all day. if, however, the font continues to make your visit to our website unpleasant, feel free to let me know.

you seem to know a lot about photography websites, maybe one day you can start one and show us, we'd love to learn from you. ;)

I liked the opening page, but I didn't like the out of focus links. Also the diminishing size makes it extremely hard to read easily.

There is a good ambience/mood to the presentation and layout.

whats is "externality"? I cant seem to make it fit into what I was seeing :?:

IMHO
