Nikon D80 is too expensive for you ? with 18-70 and 70-300 VR, or 55-200 VR.

Hi mobil11,

May I offer you a warm welcome to the CameraLabs forums.

While you are looking at the 450D check out the price of the 40D after the current Rebate has been taken into account. Whatever you decide, make sure you handle the goods first. How a camera feels "in hand" is surprisingly important and may make your mind up on the spot.

Bob.

thanks
I would pay around 1000eur. I know that 40d and d80 are much better, specially for me because i like aeroplanes (here are my fotos taken with very slow HP 945: http://www.email.si/apps/es_gallery/a.php?id=49288 ).
So, what do you think which lenses and camera are more suitably for this kind of photography?

As a big Sony fan I'd go for the A300. It's a great camera with it's live view system and build-in stabilisation, both of which are not as good/not present on the Canon. If you're interested in a better lens option, the CZ16-80mm F3.5-4.5 is highly recommend both by professional lens reviewers and me too. Gordon reviewed it here. The 16-105mm may also be interesting for you.

Good luck deciding which camera is right for you!

I read that the new Canon 18-55mm IS is better to Sony 18-70mm
First it is because lens stabilization give more stops, second,
less color fringing (Chromatic Abberation). But Sony 15mm
longer which can make a different.

the new Canon EF-S 55-250mm has extra 50mm and also have
favorable reviews. But still the not as sharp as
Canon L 70-200mm series.

Unfortunately I don't know anything about Sony 55-200mm

So it will be a tough call for you :)

note that I didn't own these lenses.
