Good Morning,

I am currently a user of a Canon SX20IS and I absolutely love it. I have taken pictures of bees on flowers and zoomed in to take a picture of a farm 10 miles away. The only problem I have is carrying the camera on a long hike or overnight trip, it is getting heavy and harder to pull out for that quick shot.

So I am looking for suggestions for a camera that weighs in under 1.5 lbs and that may come close to the specs and reliability of the SX20IS.

thanks for your help,

rsjrny

The Panasonic FZ200 seems to fit your requirements (24X zoom, 1.3 lbs), but I don't think it will gain you much over the SX20 unless you do a significant amount of low-light shooting.

In broad daylight, I'd stick with the SX20 - Mark
