Camera Labs

I do have a Canon EOS Rebel, and I am considering to buy a better camera such as the 5D Mark II, but those are pricey specially bundled with the lenses and all paraphernalia; so I am thinking on buy the body to start, but I do not if I can use the three lenses that came with the Rebel. Are they interchangeable? Is the quality an issue here?

Lenses designated "EF-S" will not fit on 5D class bodies. EF lenses and 3rd party lenses are generally ok. This limitation was a design feature of the EF-S lenses, as they're allowed to get closer to the sensor on supported bodies. The bigger mirror on the 5D would run out of space if the lens could fit.

Thank you very much. Abusing of your patience, I do have a problem on my Rebel: from time to time I get a very thin, small "worm-like" line on my images, is it a cleaning or an electronic issue? I changed the lenses but the problem remains and is not all the time. Thanks.

Sounds like dust on the sensor. You can get a cheap blower to try and shift it.

Addition: Old FD lenses won't fit Canon EOS cameras as well.
