Hi guys, I am in the market for a new camera that does 1080/60p and has a mic input to attach an external mic and is below $450. At the moment, i think panasonic fz-150 is my best bet, though i am still looking for other models. I will be using this camera with my zoom h1 to record live concert videos. I willl use h1 as the external mic.

Thanks!

{c/p (more or less) of my reply on the other forum}

When shooting video, you will almost always be better off using a video camera.

That said, my concern with any small sensor device--FZ150, other compact hybrid photo/video camera, or camcorder--is that they won't be bright enough to use with amateur or semi-pro concert lighting, and most pro concerts don't allow video recording.

Sorry - Mark
