Post subject: Buy a Canon or T3i T1i
PostPosted: Sat Jul 30, 2011 3:07 pm
This is my first post, I joined this forum which I find very good

Now with a little more time in my life I want to devote time to photography.

I wanted to help me with some questions.

- I have an old camera EOS 5000 which was a gift from my father and I have 3 lenses: a Canon EF 75-300mm 1:4-5.6 II, Canon EF 50mm 1:2.5 Compact Macro and a Canon 38-76mm 0.58M / 1.9ft

There goes my first question, was thinking of buying a body of a Canon T3i, these lenses work with this body?

- The second option I have is to buy a camera (new) Canon T1i with two lenses: Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Zoom Lens [Outfit] and a Tamron 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di LD macro Lens.

Economically these two options are similar and wanted some advice, which seems the best option, buy a slightly more advanced camera and put these lenses or buy the less advanced camera with most modern lenses.

Greetings and thank you very much for your answers

Yes, they are compatible. Both cameras use the EF lens mount and the lenses are compatible between film and digital SLR bodies.

I would suggest going with the t1i as it has better lenses than the ones you would use if you got the t3i. Lenses have a bigger effecton the image than the camera.
