It seems like a good price but i'd just like to know if anybody has any experience with this.. is it trust worthy etc etc.

Thanks

Hi Kevin,

I'd say not. It's about £416 for a manufacturer refurbished (i.e. used) camera while you can buy the real thing new direct from our Amazon UK price partner for £468.48. I'd rather try and scrape up the extra £50 or so for a new camera plus lens: only if I couldn't manage to do so would I consider a refurb.

Bob.

Not really a bargain to be honest.

If you're looking for a real bargain, Grays have a couple of "mint" D3100's for £330 odd.

Or here have a few D5000's used for about the same.

Me neither. I've had the pleasure of visiting Seoul and had a great time there but I'd be very wary of going the mail order route. For the record on that site the D5000 plus 18-55 lens (the subject of this thread) retails for KRW 580,000 which comes to about £325. Even if international shipping were free (unlikely) the chances are that Customs & Excise will intercept it and, at a minimum, clobber it with 20% VAT. That brings the total up to £390 for an item without, so far as I can tell, a warranty that will be honoured by Nikon UK. Of course if one wants to gamble...

Bob.

I didn't know about the warranty part.

We often just use these sites to base prices when we haggle from shops, or buy second-hand.
