Camera Labs

Hey..i have decided to purchase a camera for photography mainly outdoor...i cannot decide on a brand or model...my main concern is the picture quality- i want it to be real good. MY maximum budget i can afford is $200, so please tell me a camera less than $200.

I suggest you take a look at some of the less expensive Canon models. The A495 gets good reviews and should fit the bill. You could possibly pick up an older model even more cheaply, you may find the A480 still available from some outlets. Again superb picture quality from a cheap P&S camera. Don't expect miracles in less than good lighting conditions though as these cameras have very small sensors and are subject to a lot of electronic noise in less than perfect conditions.

Meh, the A495 is decent. The A460 (An earlier predecessor from 2007) Is my primary digital, and I've only been moderately impressed. Perhaps the cameras have changed since then, but I haven't been happy with the high ISOs on any of their entry level cams. Although, it's fine for outdoors. Also note that the build on the A495 seems a bit cheap.
