Post subject: FZ18 hard to find?
PostPosted: Thu Nov 15, 2007 1:27 am
Hello again everyone, I am still tossing around ideas of which camera I want to purchase the H9 or the FZ18, and I keep checking prices of both...It appears that the FZ18 is becoming very hard to find right now for some reason, dell has removed it from its site and amazon has 2 sellers only (at high prices. Also Circuit City and Best buy are also out of this camera. Has anyone else noticed this and if so do you guys know why this camera seems to be hard to get? Thanks again

Maybe it sold out following our positive review!

Seriously, it is still quite new and it has been getting great reviews, so may it is a case of high demand and low supply... hopefully there'll be more stock soon...

Actually, Olympus has started advertising their E-510 in Malaysia with the "Cameralabs Highly Recommended" badge so Cameralabs may well be the reason.

If you trust Ebay, you can find both of the models you are interested in there.

That's good to know Graham!

Quite a few manufacturers are using our logos these days - see:

Wow, the Cameralabs logo on the Canon page is almost bigger than the picture of the camera itself and Panasonic has the logo twice on the FZ18 page so Cameralabs must be the reason! I think it's great that Cameralabs gets the recognition it deserves as one of the top photography review sites.

Amazon.co.uk are selling them at a cheap price.

... but don't forget that if you decide to buy from Amazon UK you can help support the site by following this link. The price is the same but Gordon gets a little commission to help pay the bills.

Absolutely, and thanks for asking! The direct link is this one but CameraLabs also has other affiliate stores which you
can see on this page so you can hopefully find a good price.

For future reference the partner and affiliate store links are available on the CameraLabs front page (currently in a box
near the top right) and links are also available from the review pages.
