As an almost total novice I am looking for a digital camera to give good quality pictures suitable for our fishing club website. We need to take wide angle photos / videos of our lake, and zoom on fish catches. The camera needs to have stabilisation (anti shake) and reasonable sound on the video.

As a novice a camera that follows the target would help where skill lacks

Our budget is £400 max

I would be grateful for any help

Hi newby,

May I offer you a warm welcome to the CameraLabs forum.

If you haven't already found it then a useful resource is our Buyer's Guide. Check out the best premium compacts and superzooms and Clearance end-of-line bargains!. Those pages have executive summaries of the recommended camera's features as well as links to the full reviews.

Bob.

SX200 IS or TZ7..

but you would find the full manual control on SX200 which will give you flexibility towards catching those images appropriately..

both have 720P movie mode..

SX200 has a £40 cashback in UK at the moment.. and its also slightly cheaper then the TZ7 as well

www.canon.co.uk

both have wide angle lenses but TZ7 is slightly wider at 25mm where canon is 28mm..

both have 12 x optical zoom etc
