Not worried about not having VR on the 55+ scale of your 18-135?

Well, I would personally have said D80 anyway.

Indeed, speaking only from my own experience, my photos are a bit "shaky" above 70 mm or so, if I don't use VR.

It really isn't that big of a deal to me, since I mainly shoot still life and portraits, also since I sell sports prints to players it would help with the hard lighting at night but since out last game is coming up it could be useful...but oh wait lucky for me it at 2PM so I can just use really fast shutter speads(lucky it is early becasue every other game starts at like 8PM.)

So I really won't need VR till next year and by then I am sure I will have at least 1 VR lens.

I can't wait to get it.

Definetely, I will try to do a small review about how it differs from the D40,good and bad, which I hardly doubt it lacks anything from the D40.
