Post subject: Just ordered a Fuji f31

Hi all, new to the forum here, after spending lots of hours reading reviews and watching gordon's video reviews, i finally decided to purchase an f31. i had looked at other models like the TZ3 and the DSC T100, But was concerned about the noise issues i kept hearing about, plus the f31 is around £100 cheaper than both options above, granted they both have bigger zooms, but i decided that a 3x would do me, as i have my trusty KM DIMAGE Z2 for the long shots. The z2 as much as i like it, its a bit bulky, and although the f31 is not the slimmest compact its smaller than the z2

so i finally made my choice, hopefully the right one :)

Hello, and welcome to Cameralabs.

I haven't any experience of your specific model but I do have a Fujifilm F-11 for backup purposes. I think it's a great camera. Very well built and it gets shots in low light conditions other cameras at the price couldn't match. From what I've read of the F-31 it's pretty much the same deal, only more so. I think you'll enjoy the camera and get a lot of great shots.

Coincidentally I also had a Dimage before the Fujifilm, in my case it was the Z1. I only got the F-11 because I dropped the Z1 and it broke. I claimed on the insurance and bought the Fujifim. In my opinion the Fujifim is a superior camera to the KM model in every way, apart from zoom range. Actually the zoom range on my Z1 was largely irrelevant as I couldn't reliably hand-hold at those focal lengths anyway.

I know you're going to like the Fujifilm F-31.

Good luck.
