well i had to decide fast to buy it or not, so i bought it today (but ordered in tuesday)
and here are testing results:
canon 60D, raw + fine jpeg-
kingston "class 10" 32gig SD , G2 Ultimate X 100X, 6 picures taken continuously -16.93 s (from pressing trigger until card led was off ) 7 pictures taken continuous high - 20.43 s 2.1GB 1 file copy from hdd to SD card - 2:45:87 min 2.1GB 1 file copy from SD card to HDD- 2:05:77 min
pretec "class 16 U1" 32gig fullHD video 433x 6 picures taken continuously -11.4 seconds 7 pictures taken continuous high - 11.36 s 2.1GB 1 file copy from hdd to SD card - 2:22:99 min 2.1GB 1 file copy from SD card to HDD- 2:06:37 min
It is funny that continous or continous high on Pretec keeps writing those files nearly same speed, but on Kingston does not.
Copying 2.1 GB files onto card shows i need faster card reader, so does the backward thing. I believe reading onto card could be faster, but reading from card shows card reader is working on its limits. (yes, when i download photos from such card, i can go an make coffe, and then drink it. It often takes hour.)
Testing PC had Core2Duo 2GHz, 2GB RAM, Win7, card reader is fujitsu siemens laptop built in one.
Conclusion - Kingston bough almost year ago, trusty brand. Never ever had a problem with it, it was working in -20 degrees as well as in +40 degrees. I could put my life on it and it would stay there. I trust this company.
However, Pretec punched me into stomach so hard i almost lost my mind. It really is what they say - performance card. Nearly double the speed of kingston for cheaper price. Deal breaker. They also claim there is some software on card, so before you put it straight into camera and format it like me, be sure to check that out. Kingston is no longer my favourite card, this little white Pretec amazed me so much i will now use it as a main card. But i will keep an eye on it, because for such a price, i still don't know if i can trust it. But if you want card that will be 4,33x faster than kingston, maybe you should consider another price range.
