 Post subject: Unknown SD Brand

Hey guys. I'm planning on buying a T2i kit but I'm kind of worried about the SD-card that comes with it. The ame of it is: SecureDigital™ - 8GB Professional SD Memory Card, and I can't find any reliable info about it. I wonder if this is a card i can use to record movies without buffering. I've heard that you need class 10 to be safe but this card doesn't say anything about it. Please help. Is it good or if it isnt, where can i get a cheap class 10 SD-card that I can record with?
Thanks for any response.

I record 720p videos on my 500D with an el cheapo Sandisk class 2 card. You don't need that much throughput really.

On my t2i you can shoot 720p no problems with most cards. However if you want to take advantage of the full hd 25fps video mode you will need at least a class 6. However I would suggest a class 10 just to be safe. If you want cheap look at the transcend class 10 sd cards. 4gb for £6

However I have never tried one so could not advise if it will be any good. However it is class 10 so it will not drop below 10mb/s meaning it should be ok.

Otherwise you could get a SanDisk Extreme class 10. 4gb for £16. Yes its more expensive but probably a safer bet.

Hope this helped. I may buy a transcend one just because of how cheap it is. If its bad I can use it as a back up.

I don't understand why people buy or sell unknown SD cards, when solid brands cards are very cheap.
