Usually one test the burst rate by taking as many shots as you can before you can hear a small “break”. According to: http://www.digitalcamerareview.com/default.asp?newsID=4169&p=2 (and other sources) the rate should not change between a 300x and a 600x card, yet the time needed to restore the buffer should be lower.

I will test this some more as soon as I have a chance. I do find it funny that Sandisk support sent me to a page that shows lexar is king:)
