I've just bought two 8GB sandisk extreme III CF cards which work perfectly , the problem is that after installing the RescuePRO software it asks me to enter a serial number which I can't find anywhere on the box , on the mini-CD envelope , or even on the card itself , I don't think it's a fake product , the packaging and the printing on the CD are of very high quality , anyone can help?

It's possibly a long shot but have you had a look at the contents of the CD (or CDs) that came with the card. Have a look and see if there are any text (txt) files. If so then open in your favourite text reader and check for a serial number.

Hi, i had the same problem when i got my Extreme III 4GB, and found the serial on the label of the mini CD case, it was the label which stuck the flap down to the envelope!

unfortunately , there is no text files on the CD , and the envelope doesn't have any labels (both are the same , I got two cards).

I googled it and found some people in the same situation. and they never got a serial number.
