Camera Labs

Have read reviews on the ¨Seagate free agent go¨ and the ¨western digital¨ equivalent. Both seem to be ok however I was wondering if anyone has personal experience with these hard drives.

My only need is to backup all our family photos from the computer every few weeks, So I am looking for something simple and uncomplicated to use.

I have the older WD Elements 500GB USB drive. Erm... it works pretty much as you expect it to. Plug in power and USB cable, it appears on the computer and you can copy stuff to it like any other drive. That's it.

I think most drives of that type are similar, so can't go far wrong picking one on pricing and if you have a fave manufacturer.

I have the WD 500GB passport type.... I'm very happy with my purchase.
I'm not sure if you are talking about that type....

Earlier i had the my book type which is bulky and gave some sneaky sounds when accessed....

My roomie has bought the Seagate brand... which is thin type....
He was provided with a DOCK kinda thing that he uses very very rarely...

As POPO said, everything is more or less the same. Just pick the one based on the price...
