Has anyone used or is using a Pelican 1500 case for a Canon 40D? Does it fit perfectly without removing the foam that comes with it? The 1500 case is pretty good in terms of weight and size compared to other 1500 and 1600 series cases but I don't know if it will safely fit a 40D and a couple of lenses. Thanks!

i've been looking into getting one my self and yes a 1500 is a sufficent size to hold a 40 and lens flash and so on, i found a used 1600 for sale locally for 25 USD i think i will need to buy new foam but i'm going to go for it. the 1600 is to big in my opinion the 1500 is perfect

Ok, here's the confirmation!

I just received my Pelican 1500 hard case and was able to fit a 40D with battery grip, 70-200 L 2.8 IS, 24-105 L, 50 II 1.8, 580 EX II, and a 17-55 IS inside it. Wish I could have included the Gary Fong diffuser too but I ran out of space. Bummer.
