Hi guys,

So I have been toying with the idea of using filters for some time, I live by the beach and take a lot of landscape shots with my tripod and I also like the motion shots which smooth out the waves/ocean etc. Too often I am finding I have dark foregrounds or overexposed backgrounds, so I'm thinking of a getting a Graduated ND Filter?

Does anyone have recommendations for a Graduated ND Filter for the above lens?

Also, I can see a use for the Graduated ND Filter however does anyone just use an ND Filter? If so, in what situation would you use one?

I think I would go for the soft edge? Any idea how many stops to go down when I purchase one and also what's benefits or consequences to rectangular or round filters present?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated
