Post subject: Case for DSLR body only
PostPosted: Wed Apr 06, 2011 8:50 am
Good morning all (or afternoon, evening depending on your respective timezone.....)

Does anyone know of any decent padded cases that are designed to take just a DSLR body (i.e. no lens attached)?

I do a lot of climbing/walking/mountain biking and so prefer to use 'proper' packs rather than camera-specific ones. I tend to carry my camera on a strap (so I can actually take photos!) with any spare lenses in the bag in cases. However I'm looking to go travelling next year and will get a second body as a spare/second camera. For a lot of the time it will just be in my bag and so would need a compact, but sturdy case just for the body as it would use the lenses I would be using with my main body. If that makes sense...

Any help appreciated as I can only find small cases designed to take a body and lens.

If you're going to be carrying it round anyway, why not leave a lens attached? (save on swapping) & keep it in your pack/bag.
