i didn't vote cause i personally would have needed the describtion 'i use one but don't think they are required'
as summer is only coming i haven't used my hoods much this year .. maybe in 5 out of 100 cases so far.
the thing i'm concerned the most about is.. hoods prevent light (= sun flares) coming into the lens so even when there should be enough sunlight it will make the picture darker.. won't it? or when taking pictures with the sun in your back .. it won't be much advantageous here.. or am i wrong in this?

taking decent portraits whether in the studio or outside is nice but those pretended smiles represent nothing but a fake world and it's certainly nothing to rave about either
