Hello there,

I am trying to decide on a uv/protection filter for my Canon 10-22 wide angle lens.

I've narrowed it down to two I think - the 77m B&W MRC Slim UV and the Hoya HMC UV.

The cost of the Hoya and its results on lenstip.com make it very appealing against the B&W which in my searches costs about 3 times as much.

However, I understand using standard uv filters cause vignetting on a wide angle lens, something the slim versions avoid.

I'm just wondering if anyone has any suggestions or advice.

Thanks very much.
