Against casual/normal friction type of impacts, that should be fine.
I assume you are talking about a bicycle and not a motorbike here. To increase the chances of "gear survival", I would recommend that you do not pack the camera with the lens attached. The lens-mount will take the brunt of the force and it is a vulnerable point on a camera.
A normal backpack with clothes in it, will protect your camera better than a regular photo-backpack. Only hard cases will truly protect your gear. The photo-backpacks are more designed for convenience through their use of compartments.
