Hi all,

I'd appreciate some suggestions on a bag.

I want a back pack style bag (that doesnt look like a camera bag) that can fit:
EOS 40d with 24-105mm
50mm
maybe a flash
(I dont need 6x lens compartments)

and I want a small storage compartment area for other general stuff.

A good example is the Kata 465

I've been meaning to review the smaller Kata 461 for some time... someone remind me tomorrow as it's past bedtime now.

Anyway, the 461 is just big enough for the 50D with 100-400L on it in the middle, and plenty of space either side in the main compartment for a flash and a 50mm with room to spare. I've actually carried my two current cameras with lenses in it before...

There is a second area in the pack that has small pockets. I use it for things like spare battery, more CF cards and random filters. It isn't very "thick" there so you couldn't put bulky objects in that area.

OOhh..I will watch this thread with interest.. I'm after one similar..doesn't have to have laptop space but I would like one which can hold the camera body & 2/3 lenses at the bottom & a seperate compartment for food/drink at the top - (not that i'm fussy but i'd also like external pockets for car keys & money & it has to be in a girly colour too)....?????

Thanks in advance,
Clair

Crumpler Sinking Barge is good to look at. The Kata 3N1 is another but you don't get the laptop compartment. You can fit an ASUS EEE I think ;).

Naneu Pro Alpha, Bravo, Tango series are all valid.

ThinkTANKphoto.com's has a few interesting sling backs as well.
