Sorry for the late reply here. My strap arrived without problems and I've been using it walking around with my D60 + 70-300mm lens on it for hours without any problems. Even if I add my SB-910 the weight is nicely distributed.

I do have both loops on the camera but when I'm going to take photos I take the left loop off for convenience. Once I finish taking the photos I'll snap the left strap back on for extra security.

Photo of the strap on the camera will follow. If there are still straps available I'll order my second strap in March.

cujo you can of course use the strap however you like, but it is designed to take the weight with just one connector.

Hi Gordon I realise that it's designed to take the weight with one connector. i clip in the second connector when I'm not taking a lot of photos for a bit of extra security. Once I am getting to the location where I want to take the photos the left connector is unclipped and there is no problem taking a photo. It's a very good strap.

So, I got my OpTech strap after only a few days. Installation was rather easy although a bit fiddly, because the eyelet on the camera was on the slim side. For a right-handed person you must install the strap on the left side of the camera, otherwise it'll be in the way, i.e. in front of your face.

I'm using the strap with my Sony Alpha A580, I will get the original battery grip tomorrow, so I will fasten the second connector on that one.

Edit 11.05.2013: Got my battery grip today and installed the second connector to it. Works like a charm.
