I don't use a Monitor anymore as i have recently bought a Laptop. It is an Acer 9300 series with a 17" display and with there "CrystalBrite" screens and the pictures that you view on it are so very clear and bright, default resolution is 1440 x 900.

Acer also produce Monitors for PC's but I don't know if they use the same technology ie. "CrystalBrite screens.

Hi Roy,

I was lastly quite disappointed from a laptop screen. It was from a brandnew upmarket Fujitsu Siemens laptop with 1920x1200 res.
All the photos seem very pale compared to the NEC LCD2180UX (1600x1200) on my desktop computer.
I did manage to get some good compatibility between my printer (Canon Pro 9000) and the NEC display, so I believe the NEC is "true'er" than my laptop display. But then the prob is that the printed picture changes its hue depending on the type of ambient light...
When I view the same pictures on my LCD-TV set (Toshiba 37WL58) it tends to be oversaturated and with too much contrast. So screen quality for photos is a very wide field and I'm happy to hear that you're quite satisfied with your display.

CrystalBrite is Acer's marketing name for high-gloss laptop screens, representing the latest in anti-reflective LCD screen technology (anti-reflective technology).Acer CrystalBrite screens, which are installed in select TravelMate, Aspire and Ferrari series models redefine notebook screen technology, represent the latest in LCD technology available in notebooks.

I also have a Acer laptop with the Crystalbrite screen, although mine is only 1280x800. The colour representation is a heck of a lot better than my 19" desktop monitor.

Okay, I have to send my laptop out to be fixed. This will be for the mouse pad. first time they said that the cables where not on all the way. I got the laptop back and the mouse pad still don't work right it just gets stuck movies on its own and all kinds of stuff. I told them that the mouse pad is worn you can see scratches and finger ware makes on it and I think all they need to do is replace the mouse pad surface. Please help me.
