Hi everybody!

I put my topic here, because only few read the topics in the printer and display-thread.

My problem is: I think that my monitor is quite good calibrated. But the printouts are a drama. Awful!
So what is the best way to calibrate the printer. In the printersettings there is the possibility to change the CM and contrast etc. and the colors can be adjusted. I know there will be some trial and error work, but can someone advice me to do this so easy as possible?

No, we can't have that I've moved you to the Printers forum but I did leave a "shadow" behind.

The X-Rite ColorMunki Photo has just won a TIPA award for "Best Colour Management System". Not cheap, unfortunately.

Besides the ColorMunki you can use the i1Photo. You can choose a solution that includes even your camera to create one profile you can use with your monitor, printer and camera.

The way it works is relatively easy. The X-Rite device (ColorMunki or i1Photo) takes the reading of your three instruments and compares the differences in color. It creates a color profile with the color average and then you just have to apply it to your devices.

Then, when you take a picture, you will see in your screen the same colors you saw in your camera and then you will print what you saw before in your camera and screen.

ColorMunki list price is $499 while i1Photo, being more "pro" oriented is $1712. Not cheap, but definitely useful.
