Canon IP4300, or IP4500. They use the same nozzle technology, 1,2, and 5 Pl drops, same resolution, the IP4300/4500 also makes fewer, wider passes though and built better. Its also much more ink friendly. Those Chromalife 8's are significantly better then Canon's new 22x series, *way* better. Same ink, you just get a few heaping tablespoons more out of those 8's. When printer sales hit an all time low, Canon spikes the price on consumables and tries to match HP in how cheap a plastic they can use.
Also you could check out the Canon MP600/MP610, they are the same thing as the 4300/4500 just with a scanner, LCD and memory reader. Newegg is selling the IP4500 now, I'm using the 4300 myself (got a few of them), and Canon has not yet given me a reason to upgrade.
